Development Coordinator
A part-time position (20-24 hours per week in office) with the goal of transitioning to a full-time. This valued team member will assist the Development Department in raising much-needed funding to support the mission of our work at Dr. Stanley and Pearl Goodman JFS of Broward County (GJFS).

Roles:
Maintain and update donor database (CRM system), ensuring the accuracy and integrity of donor records, including gift entry, contact information, and giving history.
Assist with donor prospecting and research.
Create various reports as needed.
Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, campaigns, and special initiatives, including logistics, communications, and follow-up as part of the development/marketing team.
Assist with weekly stewardship (phone calls, thank you letters, and tax receipts for incoming donations).
Attend weekly team meetings and/or coaching sessions.
Occasionally serve as a GJFS representative at community and partner events; support and recruit for major GJFS events and campaigns.
Maintain on-going relationships with donors, leaders, and potential prospects.
Steward a portfolio of annual fund and monthly donors.
Enhance communication and collaboration across various departments, committees, and staff members.
Consistently uphold GJFS’s mission through exceptional customer service and efficient use and maintenance of resources.
Occasionally, work will be required on nights or weekends.

Minimum Education: High school or GED; preference to those with a bachelor’s degree or a candidate working toward completing a degree; some on-the-job training will be provided to the right candidate who is willing to actively engage in training and professional development opportunities.

Skills Required for Success:

Excellent interpersonal skills, collaborative work style, growth mindset, and the ability to maintain donor and client information in strict confidence.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva (preferred but not required); ability to successfully develop tech related skills to complete job duties.
Candidates familiar with donor relations software, particularly DonorPerfect and/or Qgiv, although not required, will be given preference in the hiring process.
Event planning (preferred, but not required)
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task.
Excellent attendance and time management skills with the ability to meet reasonable deadlines.

Salary: $22 - $25 /Hour
